Chronology of cameras Fex Indo
Very close in technical terms to the Ultra-Fex, the Delta distinguishes itself primarily by its presentation. The large grooves on the bodies of the Ultra-Fex have disappeared, and the bakelite is very smooth and beautiful (between us, it's easier to clean a Delta than an Ultra-Fex).
The front face, at the end of the extendable tube, has slightly curved. The viewfinder is smaller since the side reinforcements found on the Ultra-Fex are no longer present. Most of the time, on the Ultra-Fex, the accessory shoe was integrated with one of these reinforcements. The Delta no longer has it. Instead, you'll find either a double connection on the side of the tube, one ensuring the physical connection between the flash and the camera, and the other ensuring synchronization, or a simple side sync socket. In the latter case, the physical connection is ensured by a strip between the flash and the tripod nut.
The Delta brand was registered on March 15, 1955, in Lyon (No. 29,492) by Indo (SARL) at 12 Place Gailleton, Lyon.
This is the version of the Delta with controls. This version has a sync. socket on the side of the lens block. The flash unit must therefore be attached to a strip, itself screwed into the camera body.
